James 4:11-17 paraphrase


Daily Psalm: Psalms 106:47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.


Daily Devotional: Don't speak evil of one another, for if you do, you are speaking evil of the law, and judgeth it, if so you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.

There is only one lawgiver, who is able to save and destroy: who are you that judgest another?

Take heed to you that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and stay there a year, and buy and sell, and make money: For you know not what shall come tomorrow.

For what is your life? It is just a vapour, that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away.

What you should say is, If the Lord wills, we shall live, and do this, or that.....


To him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin...
