I Peter 2:13-17, 21-25 paraphrase


Daily Psalm: Psalms 27:11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.


Daily Devotion: Submit yourselves to every ordiance of man for the Lord's sake: wether to the king, as supreme; or govenors, that are sent by him for the punishment of evil doers, or praise for those who do well.

So is the will of God, that with well doing you may silence the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Honor the king. For you were called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps:

Who did no sin, neither was gile found in his mouth... That we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.

For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the shepherd and
