A Shadow
Hebrews 10:1-9 paraphrase
Daily Psalm: Psalms 128: 1 For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
Daily Devotional: For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices that they offered year by year continually make the comers perfect.
For then would they not have ceased to be offered?
Because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is remembrance again made of sins every year.
For it is not posible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. When he comes into the world, he says, sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body hath you prepared me:
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure. Then I said, Lo, I come to do your will, O God....
He took away the first (O.T. Law) that he may establish the second.
Daily Proverb: Proverbs 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
